ABOUT ME

     I am a newly retired teacher with 30 years of teaching experience in Maryland. I have two sons who have inspired me to pursue my next chapter as an ADHD/Education Coach, so iHelp Coaching was born. While in Prince George's County Public Schools, I worked with students in grades K through 6 as an instructional resource teacher and have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Over the years, I have also tutored students in elementary, middle and high school. I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in Science Education from Loyola College and my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education is from Towson University.

     While teaching, I worked with all of my students by meeting them where they were and then helping them grow as learners. I participated in the development of IEPs, 504s, FBPs, and implemented various strategies to ensure all the children in my classroom were learning and could access the curriculum.     

     Most years included students with ADHD. I worked with these students and their families to help them navigate the challenges faced both in the classroom and at home. In addition, my oldest son has ADHD and my younger son has anxiety. So the strategies I will provide you, or you and your child are well researched and are offered based on my own experiences as a parent and a teacher.

     It is my goal to help children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, as well as those struggling with distance learning to have more success. With goal setting, support, and effective strategies, the stress of school and life can be

more manageable.
